Why working with adolescents is good for your practice

Adolescents make up one fifth of the population and working with them can be both challenging and rewarding. Effectively engaging with young people is vital for your patients, practice and community. Adolescents need accessible, sensitive health care, and require a high level of trust in both practitioners and the practice. Learn practical tips and best practice approaches from Professor Lena Sanci, Adolescent Health Researcher and GP at this FREE session.

The session will focus on effective management of adolscent health and wellbeing in general practice. It will cover consent and confidentiality laws, Medicare and MyHealth records for young people and how to have youth friendly conversations.

The session will also give you information on how you can become involved in relevant NWMPHN programs, such as Doctors in Secondary Schools, and how this program aligns with the Practice Incentive Payment (PIP) Quality Improvement (QI) requirements.

General Practitioners, Nurses and Practice Managers invited to attend.
