Immunisation Course for Health Professionals (5 day workshop)

The Immunisation Course for Healthcare Professionals has been designed for professionals who can practice as approved immunisation providers. The learning aligns with the national legislative requirements while still allowing students to explore the specific elements of the state or territory they work in.

The updated course now has expanded eligibility and has 2 delivery methods with our traditional eLearning plus workshop and our new 5-Day intensive delivery model.

The Immunisation Course for Health Professionals is based on the National Immunisation Education Framework for Health Professionals. It has been accredited by Health Education Services Australia (HESA). 

This nationally accredited course is for AHPRA-registered healthcare professionals who can practice as approved immuniser providers. 

Learning outcomes:

• Source immunisation information in primary healthcare.
• Identify and examine administrative processes to deliver immunisation services, including cold chain management.
• Prepare, plan and perform an immunisation encounter including vaccination catch-up scheduling.
• Determine immunisation needs to priority populations.
• Source immunisaiton legislation in primary healthcare.
