GI Connect-Early detection and intervention in upper GI Cancers

Pancare Foundation and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee, are pleased to invite you to a breakfast and GP education session focused on early detection and intervention in upper gastrointestinal cancers, and the support available for patients and carers.

The aim of this session is to provide GPs from the Western Suburbs of Melbourne with education and information regarding earlier detection and intervention in upper gastro-intestinal cancers, and knowledge regarding supports available for referral to Pancare Foundation, and a directory of gastrointestinal surgeons and oncologists available for referral and consult. This session aims to empower General Practitioners with identifying and acting on signs that may signal an upper GI cancer, and knowing when and how to act and support their patients. This session will also provide an overview of ANZ health, and risk reduction of cybersecurity threat for business. 

Speakers

Dr Kumanan Nalankilli, Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist

Dr Nalankilli will provide a practical session focused on early detection, screening and intervention, with relevance to GPs and primary care.

Sue Hegarty Head of Support, Pancare Foundation

Sue will provide an overview of Pancare’s support services, including how GPs can connect and refer patients and carers to the Foundation for support.

Andrew Milaszewicz & Jane Ho Regional Executive, ANZ Business & Private Bank | Transaction Banking Specialist, ANZ

Andrew will provide an overview of the ANZ Health proposition, and Jane Ho will speak to cyber security, designed to help businesses stay safe online.

Parking: Paid parking is available at both the front and rear of the hospital. Depending on availability, street parking may also be available on Old Sneydes Road and Roth Street at this time of the morning.
