The Western Public Health Unit is excited to welcome Dr. Steven Chen, M.D. as our keynote speaker.

The Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) is excited to welcome an international speaker, Dr. Steven Chen, M.D. who is a champion of the ‘Food As Medicine’ model and has offered to share his expertise. Dr Chen is the Chief Medical Officer of Alameda County Recipe4Health, and will introduce the nationally recognised and award winning “Food as Medicine” program that has been embedded in health centres in the US to treat, prevent, and reverse chronic conditions. The event will comprise a 1-hour seminar (hybrid) with a Q and A session for a broad audience with a clinical-prevention link focus.
