Outcomes
- Holistic support: Delivered integrated AOD and psychosocial support, effectively addressing the complex needs of people with comorbid conditions.
- Resource hub: Established itself as a key reference point for mainstream AOD services working with people of the Muslim faith.
- Collaborative relationships: Strengthened connections with other services to meet consumers’ intersectional needs, including physical health, spirituality, family health, and mental health.
- Supportive environment: Created a supportive environment for young people and families to discuss and address drug and alcohol issues, including health promotion activities.
- Psychosocial funding grant: The program has received two rounds of psychosocial grants for 2023-24 and 2024-25. This is designed to enhance the capacity of the AOD program, specifically to support individuals with psychosocial issues and AOD comorbidities.
