The Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI) is inviting health professionals who work with women during the perinatal period to take part in the ‘Understanding Uptake’ research study.

This study seeks to understand how to better integrate effective e‑treatments for perinatal mental health into routine care, to help more women access care.

Perinatal mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, affect many new and expecting mothers, however, most women do not receive treatment for these problems due to difficulty accessing face-to-face care.

Evidence-based e-treatments, such as the MumMoodBooster digital program, have the potential to bridge this gap, yet they are not routinely offered in most health care settings.

This study seeks to understand why, by surveying clinicians about the factors that limit them from using e-treatments in their practice.

By identifying the barriers and facilitators to large‑scale implementation, the project aims to create a clear pathway for embedding effective treatments into existing services.

Participation involves a short, anonymous five-minute online survey.

Your insights will directly inform how digital mental health supports can reach more mothers in need.
