The University of Sydney School of Medicine is conducting a research study exploring how GPs in Australia approach the prescribing of gabapentinoids, such as pregabalin and gabapentin.

The aim of this study is to better understand GPs’ experiences, decision-making, and views on the benefits, risks, and safe use of these medicines.

We are seeking GPs and GP registrars currently practicing in Australia.

Taking part in this study will involve a one-on-one interview (up to 45 minutes) via Zoom, telephone, or in person, depending on your preference.

Participation is voluntary, and your identity will remain confidential. To recognise your time and contribution, remuneration ($200) will be provided.

Please contact Amy McNeilage (PhD Candidate, Sydney Medical School) at amy.mcneilage@sydney.edu.au if you would like to participate or would like further information about this study.

This study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) of The University of Sydney [2025/HE00919].
