A University of Tasmania study invites GPs, nurses and pharmacists across Australia to share their insights into supporting patients who want to quit nicotine addiction or dependence.
The study, funded by the Department of Health (Public Health Services, Tasmania), aims to better understand how health professionals are navigating tobacco smoking and vaping cessation strategies, and the evolving landscape of nicotine regulation.
The findings will help shape future support for health professionals working with people who have nicotine addiction/dependence.
Participants can take part in a short 10 to 15-minute survey, a 30-minute online interview, or both.
The survey explores current practices and challenges in helping patients quit nicotine, while the interview offers a deeper dive into clinical experiences and perspectives.
Survey completion enables participants to enter a draw to win one of five $50 gift vouchers and interviewees receive a $70 gift voucher.
