Western Health (WH) has started transitioning patient clinical correspondence for general practices and clinicians to HealthLink, discontinuing the PulseNet system. Western Health incorporates Footscray Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Williamstown Hospital, Bacchus Marsh Hospital, Sunbury Day Hospital and Melton Health Hub.

The current phase of the project concerns outgoing communication from Western Health. To ensure they continue to receive electronic clinical documentation from WH, GPs and practice managers must take certain steps by 15 November 2024.

For more information, please read these updates from Western Health’s chief medical officer:

Western Health is committed to also implementing digital referrals to its outpatient services and clinics. The initial evaluation process is underway, and further updates will follow after HealthLink is fully implemented for clinical correspondence to GPs and clinicians.
