Seeking patient participants for research study

A research study at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is currently seeking volunteers taking GLP-1 RAs to participant in a clinical study to understand how different fasting instructions affect the amount of leftover food or liquid in the stomach.

Seeking people who are 18 years or older, taking any GLP-1 RA medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Trulicity, once a week for at least one month, and no prior bariatric surgery*.

After consent and eligibility are confirmed, participation involves visiting St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne for a stomach ultrasound scan and completion of fasting instructions for a set period of time (maximum 24 hours from solid foods) before the scan.

Participants will receive a $25 gift card upon completion.

*A small number of other exclusion criteria apply.
