A new National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) Nurse Implementation Guide is now available to support nurses across Victoria in delivering the program effectively in practice.

Developed by Cancer Council Victoria and supported by the Victorian Government, the guide (.pdf) provides practical information to help nurses support patient identification, facilitate conversations about lung cancer screening, and understand referral pathways within the program.

Nurses play a critical role in the delivery of the NLCSP, helping to improve participation and outcomes across eligible populations. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related death in Australia. But with over 65 per cent of lung cancers able to be successfully treated if found early, lung cancer screening can help us change this.

Find out how you can support the NLCSP in your practice and save lives.
