Mandatory reporting to the Australian Immunisation Register from 1 July 2021

It is now mandatory to report all National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccinations to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

From 1 July 2021, under the AIR Act, it is now mandatory to report all NIP, COVID-19 and influenza vaccines administered to the AIR.

Immunisation providers can submit vaccination encounters to the AIR using:

practice management software
the AIR site via Health Professional Online Services (HPOS).
