Self-Reporting of CPD Hours
This 1-hour session will update HIV s100 prescribers and practitioners on the clinical challenges of polypharmacy and drug-drug interactions in people living with HIV.
Through case-based discussions, participants will explore common interaction risks involving antiretroviral therapy, management of comorbidities, and practical strategies to optimise medication safety and treatment outcomes.
This course is for healthcare professionals practicing in Victoria. We are currently only accepting registrations from Victoria.

Learning outcomes:
On completion of this course and its components, participants will be able to:
- Recognise common causes and consequences of polypharmacy in people living with HIV, including impacts on treatment effectiveness, toxicity, and adherence.
- Identify clinically significant drug-drug interactions between antiretroviral therapy and commonly prescribed medications used to manage comorbid conditions.
- Apply evidence-based approaches and available resources to assess, prevent, and manage drug-drug interactions and optimise medication regimens for people living with HIV.
