GPs and GP registrars working within under-resourced communities can now access a series of free education sessions designed to strengthen capability in treating patients with complex needs.

The six-month series delivers practical and relevant information, peer support and actionable strategies for GPs located in the NWMPHN catchment. Practices in the Brimbank, Wyndham, Hume and Melton local government areas will be prioritised, but all practices are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Following a successful pilot program in 2025 that generated overwhelmingly positive feedback, NWMPHN is pleased to offer the series again this year, commencing 3 March 2026. The project is a collaboration with not-for-profit network Medical Advocacy Together for Community Health (MATCH).

Topics covered include alcohol and other drugs, complex paediatric care, mental health and family violence.

Financial support is available for participants not funded by their organisation to attend.

The series is accredited for 36 RACGP CPD hours.

For more information, please see this Expression of Interest (.pdf).

To apply, complete this form by 3pm on Wednesday, 18 February 2026.
