headspace demand management and enhancement program: headspace Glenroy
July 2025 – December 2027
$842,400 (excl. GST)
Glenroy
Overview
This funding is from the Youth Mental Health: headspace demand management and enhancement program and contributes to the Australian Government’s implementation of mental health reforms.
Orygen, as the lead agency for headspace Glenroy, has been awarded a grant under this funding arrangement to undertake a project that will build the cultural capability of staff and services, and to undertake capital works to refurbish the premises.
Services have grown significantly in response to the increasing demand for youth mental health care but the infrastructure at the centre has remained largely unchanged since establishment in 2008.
Outcomes
The cultural capability funding will reduce barriers for young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds accessing mental health services.
Refurbishment will improve access and appeal as well as support increased delivery of quality mental health services to young people in the area.
