Changes to family violence primary health provider support services

  19 June 2025  NWMPHN

North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network’s advice and navigation service pilot program for GPs seeking support in assisting patients impacted by family violence will end on 30 June 2025.

Other family violence advice and support services remain robust and operational. This includes advice and service navigation for general practice staff through Orange Door and 1800 RESPECT.

NWMPHN’s service has been provided by Berry Street Services and GenWest.

“During the pilot we observed enhanced practitioner capability in developing management plans and increased confidence in their ability to identify and respond to family violence in future as a result of accessing the service,” said Stephanie Germano, NWMPHN’s Manager, Quality Improvement Partnerships.

“NWMPHN thanks Berry Street and GenWest for their expertise and dedication in delivering this pilot.”
