Our holiday closure processes: important information for primary care

North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) will be closed from 5pm, Friday 23 December 2022 and will reopen 9am, Monday 9 January 2023. 

Some of our programs and services will operate at reduced capacity during this period. Important information for general practices and other primary care providers are listed below. 

Primary care services 

General practice respiratory clinics (GPRCs) and priority primary care clinics (PPCCs) 

GPRCs and PPCCs may adjust their operating hours over the holiday period. Refer to the Victorian Department of Health website for GPRC opening hours, and the Better Health Channel website for PPCC opening hours. 

PPE orders

Eligible primary care providers can use the form on our website to request PPE.  

Please submit final PPE orders by 14 December 2022 to ensure you receive them before our office closes for the year.

Mental health services 

CAREinMIND  

CAREinMIND will remain open during the end-of-year holiday period. NWMPHN’s central intake team will be taking calls and processing referrals for CAREinMIND on business days during this time. The team can be reached on 1300 069 269.   

Health Pathways  

The HealthPathways team will be unable to respond to any queries or access requests from 26 December 2022 to 8 January 2023. If you need support during this period, please refer to the HealthPathways website. The team will respond to all enquiries from 9 January 2023.  

Head to Health  

The holiday season is meant to be a time of joy, but for many people it can be a time of stress, anxiety, disappointment or loneliness. 

The Head to Health intake team will be available as usual apart from public holidays (see hours below) to connect people with the right mental health support.
