We acknowledge the peoples of the Kulin nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our work in the community takes place. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
Community consultation and engagement is essential in understanding the divergent needs of Aboriginal communities across our catchment. To better meet these needs NWMPHN aims to strengthen the voice of Aboriginal people, communities and organisations in our needs analysis and planning of services.
To ensure that we have a collaborative and culturally respectful approach to our work, we have recently completed our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). A key aim of our RAP is to continue to build meaningful relationships with Aboriginal communities based on respect and trust.
