This education symposium is for medical and health care providers looking to increase their skills, confidence and knowledge in transgender health care.

Presenters are leading health care providers, educators and community members with training and clinical experience in transgender health.

Learning outcomes:

Learning Objectives and Outcomes
• Increased understanding of trans affirmative healthcare, respectful language and terminology.
• Improved understanding of clinical guidelines and health pathways for supporting transgender adolescents and adults.
• Increased skills and knowledge of initiating and managing hormone therapy.
• Identifying the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in supporting transgender individuals and their families.
