The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services program aims to prepare health professionals for the thunderstorm asthma season (September-November). A media campaign in early September 2017 is expected to increase public awareness and interaction of the public with primary health care.

This workshop, brought to you by the National Asthma Council Australia, explores and explains groups at-risk of Thunderstorm asthma. Refresh your knowledge on proactive and ongoing management of asthma and allergic rhinitis. Appropriate for GPs, practice nurses, pharmacists and community health workers. 

The workshop will cover:

  • Who is at risk?
  • What to do if thunderstorm asthma is forecast
  • Asthma management
  • Asthma action plans
  • Acute asthma
  • Asthma and allergies.
