Surviving Childhood Trauma With Dr Jane Tovey, Psychiatrist Tuesday 30 October, 2018 6.00pm to 7.30pm

Dr Tovey is a consultant psychiatrist specialising in trauma therapy. A member of the Albert Road Clinic Professorial Psychiatry Unit, Jane’s practice encompasses both inpatients and outpatients. She enjoys working in various modalities
including adult general psychiatry and trauma informed psychotherapy.

With stories about trauma survivors frequently in the media, Jane’s discussion will centre on childhood trauma specifically and its impact on an individual’s mental and physical health, their self-esteem and general wellbeing. She will discuss support options to assist recovery, including how family and friends can help.
