This seminar will provide a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of infection control, including the reprocessing of medical devices used in general practice.

A range of topics will be covered such as:

  • Infection prevention basics
  • Cleaning items for reuse
  • Steps for sterilisation
  • Performance qualification
Presented by Jane Miller from Medical Dental Solutions
Jane is a Registered Nurse and the Owner/Director of Medical Dental Solutions. She has previously worked in Central Sterilising Departments in Public Hospitals, Day Surgeries and in General and Specialist Practices. Jane has been providing training on sterilisation procedures for 10 years. She provides consultation on the layout design for new surgeries and informal audits on existing surgeries to assist with sterilisation processes and improving infection control. Jane currently provides advice on Validation/Performance Qualification requirements for clients of Medical Dental Solutions and also works as a volunteer on YWAM Medical Ships in PNG.

Includes: Certificate of attendance and light refreshments will be provided. Light refreshments include Tea, Coffee, Water and Snacks. The seminar will run throughout dinner time, we suggest you eat prior to attending.
