This event is for anyone working in the northern metropolitan region, who has an interest in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) or works in the health, community or schools sectors.

Carolyn Mogharbel, Team Leader of Victoria’s brand new state-wide sexual and reproductive health phone line, 1800 My Options will be presenting. 1800 My Options is one of the state government-funded initiatives supporting the Victorian Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy, which aims to decrease barriers and service gaps.

1800 My Options is a free and confidential phone line providing sexual and reproductive health information, and directing callers to clinical services such as contraception, pharmacy services, counselling support and termination providers.

Carolyn will introduce the service and it's background including:

  • The different options available for contraception and unplanned pregnancy
  • How 1800 My Options works
  • What it includes and excludes
  • The picture so far on service coverage and consumer demand
  • How to get involved.
There will be time for questions and discussion.

This session will also include discussion on future SRH education and support that attendees would find useful.
