Webinar

An interactive webinar by a specialist Otolaryngologist from the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, for GPs to improve their knowledge and skills in the assessment of patients presenting with nasal congestion and/or symptoms and signs of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.

A 60 minute interactive lecture style presentation for GPs and GP registrars to improve their knowledge and skills in the assessment of patients presenting with nasal congestion and/or symptoms and signs of acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.

To improve GPs understanding of the function of the nose and the term rhinosinusitis and to more accurately differentiate between acute and chronic rhinosinusitis.  To improve diagnostic accuracy and understanding of when it is appropriate to investigate chronic sinusitis. Additionally, to increase GP’s awareness of when “sinus headache” is not sinusitis and to appropriately investigate and manage other causes.

The main focus of each part of the presentation, will be on improving GPs’ knowledge and skills to enable more accurate diagnosis of these problems and especially when to be alert to red flags for a serious or life threatening cause.

Additionally, refresh your understanding of appropriate investigations of and referral pathways for these above conditions.
