The Immunisation Practice workshop develops the skills and knowledges required to implement safe immunisation practices in Primary Care, including system and processes, administration of vaccines and development of catch-up schedules.
The Immunisation Practice workshop forms part of the level two component of both our clinical and endorsement pathway
The face-to-face workshop involves practical activities which includes:
• Cold chain management
• Administration of vaccines in a simulated environment
• Practice and assessment (performed on a mannequin)
• Practical assessment conducted during the skills activity session.
BEFORE BOOKING A WORKSHOP: Please note, students must complete the Foundations of Immunisation Practice Program (level 1) and the online component of level two before booking a workshop date, if you do not complete the online learning you will not be able to book into a workshop.
