Falls Prevention Education Session

North Western Melbourne PHN and Allity Glendale Aged Care welcome you to this free education session! This session is suited to clinicians and carers working across the primary health care sector including, general practice and community and aged care settings.

Delivered by Vivir Allied Health, this session will highlight a new perspective in falls prevention and management in older adults. At a time when consumer driven service provision and choice are paramount, attendees will be given the opportunity to re-think falls prevention by focusing on safe mobility and risk management. 

Learning outcomes:

On completion of this session, attendees will have: 

• Up-to-date knowledge on effective falls prevention interventions to manage falls risks in the aged care setting. 
• The ability to transfer best practice falls prevention and management across a variety of settings and activities. 
• The ability to recommend an active lifestyle and activities to safely achieve best health outcomes.
