Learning outcomes:
by the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Confidently support and educate patients through the early stages of healing for common foot and ankle fractures, based on ‘condition specific pathways’ developed by Orthopaedic surgeons
- Identify and interpret X-ray signs of healing for common foot and ankle fractures,
- Identify fractures where CAM boot management is appropriate and the steps involved with CAM boot fitting
- Discuss the role of the Western Health Virtual Fracture Care (V-FRAC), and the benefits for GPs and patients
